Born in Livingston and raised in North Jersey, Dr. Alex Joseph has been a New Jersey resident for most of his life. He attended St. Bonaventure University for undergraduate studies where he obtained a Bachelor’s in Biology and Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine for his Master’s in Biomedical Sciences. He spent the next four years in leadership positions managing intellectual property and research licensing at Rowan University and Stevens Institute of Technology. Realizing his passion for dentistry, Dr. Joseph earned his Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston. He has been practicing in New Jersey since.

Dr. Joseph is a member of the American Dental Association, the New Jersey Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine. Dr. Joseph is committed to provide the highest quality care to his patients and is excited to continue the legacy at Essex Dental Professionals. He is keen on keeping up to date with the latest techniques and technology as well as continuing education courses in dentistry to better benefit patients. Dr. Joseph’s passion and motto for dentistry stems from helping patients attain a confident and comfortable smile, which can sometimes be life altering, while maintaining function.

Dr. Joseph lives in Montville Township with his wife Seema, their 1 year old son, and their dog Boba. His hobbies include cooking exotic dishes, watching premier league soccer, and traveling.​
